First ARCH-ed Excellence Meeting held in Poland

TPM1 - Poland

The first international meeting of the ARCH-ed Excellence project took place in April 2025 in Murowana Goślina, Poland.

Hosted by Kawalkada Sports Club, the meeting focused on sport management in horseback archery clubs. Experts from the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics at the University of Žilina delivered a series of interactive workshops covering:

* Marketing support for horseback archery events
* Creative problem-solving methods (Synectics)
* Event management principles and practice

The programme combined theory with practice. Following the workshops, participants had the opportunity to observe and apply newly acquired knowledge during a three-day horseback archery competition organised by Kawalkada. This hands-on experience allowed participants to test different approaches to event organisation, volunteer management, promotion, and problem-solving in a real sporting environment.

The meeting also provided an excellent opportunity for participants from FMAA (Finland), SAJL and the University of Žilina (Slovakia), and Kawalkada Sports Club (Poland) to exchange experiences, share best practices, and strengthen international cooperation within the European horseback archery community.

This was the first of several educational meetings planned within ARCH-ed Excellence. The next project activities will continue in Finland, where partners will focus on horse welfare and animal care.
